Gosh, weddings are fraught with emotion, aren’t they? There’s the joy of deciding to officially share your life with another, the gravity of that commitment, the excitement of joining two families and two sets of friends—and, of course, the pressure of creating an event that reflects the significance and wonder of it all. There’s the actual planning—the working out of the guest list, the choosing of the venue, the sending of the invites, the finding of the dress, the deciding of the menu . . . and even if you’re fairly relaxed about it, the whole thing can still feel like a massive, overwhelming undertaking.
